ABOUT PETER

Peter McNerney is an actor, director and improviser best known as the co-host of the Story Pirates Podcast (Gimlet Media) and We Knows Parenting (HowStuffWorks) which he hosts with his wife Beth Newell (Reductress). Peter is known as one of New York City's premiere improvisers for his work in the long running improv duo Trike (Magnet Theater), which the New York Times calls, “reliably one of the best improv performance in the city.” On TV Peter can be seen in High Maintenance (HBO), Search Party (TBS), as a series regular on Stuff You Should Know (Science) and in a bunch of commercials where he's probably playing a dumb lovable dad.

We Knows Parenting

We Knows Parenting is the humorous parenting podcast of real-life comedian couple Beth Newell (Reductress) and Peter McNerney (Story Pirates). Together the two compare notes on their week in parenting two small children and their opinions on parenting culture at large. They discuss their loose parenting style and their parenting ups and downs, while making fun of each other for their differences along the way. And sometimes they interview their children to get their nonsensical takes on things. Beth and Peter are real parents, not experts.

Story Pirates

Peter is the Associate Artistic Director, Casting Director and Podcast Co-Host for the arts and education media company Story Pirates best known for adapting stories written by kids into a musical and sketch comedy show. Story Pirates was founded in 2004 to celebrate the words, ideas and stories of young people.
